Description
The impressive “Crown Imperial”, Imp. Rubra, has large rusty orange, hanging bell-shaped flowers and crowned with a tuft of bracts and glossy, lance shaped leaves at intervals along the stem. The strong smell from the bulbs keeps mice and moles at bay. It is advisable to plant the bulb in a sunny area at a slight angle when planting to prevent water from accumulating in the bulb. Due to its height, plant solo or in small groups as a focal point in borders, beds, gravel, gardens, between shrubs or in in containers.
