Narcissus Mount Hood 12/14

Narcissus Mount Hood 12/14

Trumpet

Description

The most famous white trumpet daffodil, Narcissus Mount Hood is large and has beautiful pure white petals. The trumpet itself opens in the palest of yellows but fades quickly to a creamy-white. This daffodil is one of the earliest to show up in the garden, usually around March. It is beautiful planted in one variety in a clump or drift or can be added to borders, beds, informal gardens, or in pots on the patio or balcony, under trees or it can be used to naturalize in areas of taller grass verges, lawn edges, hedgerows or banks. Allow foliage to die down naturally as this ensures nourishment for the next seasons growth. Combines well with other early spring bulbs such blue hyacinths. It is a good naturalizing daffodil.
