Tulip Paul Scherer has  a tallish, strong stem that bears the dramatic very dark purple, almost black, goblet-shaped flower with a dab of cream in the middle. Plant en masse in sunny, well-drained areas in beds, borders, edging, gardens, pots, or drifts. Used as a cut flower, this tulip will create quite a stunning display. Blend with yellows, reds or white to create a stunning landscape.
